New Readers for Bradford Diocese - September 25th 2010
It was a beautiful sunny day at St John’s Yeadon for the Bradford Diocesan Readers’ Association conference (‘Trustees of Creation’), the AGM and annual diocesan service.

New friends were made, old colleagues chatted away and a grand luncheon was enjoyed by all.

The service was ably led by the Readers of the Yeadon parish and + Colin Buchanan admitted 6 new Readers: Paul Bartle (St Clements, Barkerend), Linda Gibson (St Luke’s Eccleshill), David Mallard (St Lawrence Eldwick), Dr Glyn Price (Burton in Lonsdale), Jackie Randall (St Peter’s Shipley), and Sylvia Walker (St John’s Ben Rhydding) who were then licensed alongside 3 who have transferred from other dioceses, David Aspey (Sutton with Craven and Lothersdale), Dan Bavington (who has transferred from Readership in Pakistan to St Alkelda’s, Giggleswick) and Ros Dannenberg (who has returned form the Diocese of Europe to St Mary’s Burley in Wharfedale) plus Kathleen Kinder (St Alkelda’s, Giggleswick) who has taken up the blue scarf once more after a few years in retirement.
