CRC AGM - St Botolph Without (Aldgate)
This is to give notice that the Annual General Meeting of the Central Readers’ Council will take place this year on Saturday 16th April 2016 in Central London.
We shall meet at the Church of St Botolph Without, which is next-door-but-one to Aldgate underground station. The other arrangements are as usual, i.e. We shall serve coffee from 10.30am, business will start at 11am, and finish in time for delegates to catch trains leaving the London termini from 4pm onwards. A buffet lunch will be provided.
Associated papers are available on this website, enabling them to be scrutinised beforehand. Select the Information / Publications & Reports / AGM Papers menu options.
Although this is not an election year, our Treasurer, Mrs Carol Lidgett, is leaving office - Mr Richard Havergal FCA of Salisbury Diocese has agreed to stand for the post. Any further nominations should be sent to Alan Wakely at crcsec@hallaRN.com by the end of March, and hard copy forms will then be distributed as and if necessary. There are also vacancies on both the Website and Conferences sub-committees and nominations for these would also be welcomed.
As in previous years, any Reader , licensed or with PTO in the Church of England, may attend - but each diocese is restricted to three voting delegates, officially the Warden, the Secretary and a third representative. Because Reader organisations in many diocese have changed substantially in recent years, we recognise that these titles are not always appropriate, and it has always been accepted than any Warden and/or secretary may send a deputy. There is no need to notify in advance of who is coming.
Directions to St Botolph are attached.
