150 Not Out
A service to commemorate the 150th anniversary ofthe establishment of modern Reader ministry. In the presence of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and led by the Archbishop of York.
The Central Readers' Council was delighted to welcome its Patron, His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. And also the Archbishop of York, the Archbishop of Armagh, other bishops, senior clergy and friends, and lay ministers from throughout the British Isles and beyond.

The Chair of the Central Readers' Council, the Bishop of Sodor and Man, preached.

Together we celebrated and gave thanks for 150 years of ministry by many thousands of men and women in the office of Reader, since its reestablishment at Lambeth Palace on Ascension Day 1866.
