Resource and Refresh (15 – 17 April 2008)
Ridley Hall Cambridge
Residential Courses for Readers
'The Resonant Voice of Old Testament Narrative’ with Penny Frank, and ‘Transforming Worship’ with the Revd Canon Peter Craig-Wild
The 'Resource & Refresh' annual Reader conferences in the lovely surroundings of Ridley Hall promise to spur you on in your ministry - intellectually, practically and personally. Each event focuses on one or two of the areas identified for the Continuing Ministerial Education (CME) of Readers. Events take place in April and September each year. They will run from 4pm on Day 1 until after lunch on Day 3. Some events will take place mid-week and some at weekends.
Each residential aims to balance theory and practice, lecture and discussion, worship and personal space. Shared meals encourage further fellowship and friendship across diocesan boundaries. There is also opportunity for individual consultation and conversation. Participation is encouraged - whether by risking an idea, sharing an experience or exchanging a laugh - so as to resource & refresh one another.
Ridley Hall provides an elegant and peaceful setting just 5 minutes walk from Cambridge's delightful, historic city centre. Participants can opt for residence in single bedrooms (with a limited number of en-suite available) or non-residence. All meals are included so as to maximise the opportunities for exchange.
£160 full residence (shared bathroom)
£35 en-suite supplement
£115 non-residence (all meals included)
