Joni Eareckson Tada on Songs of Praise - 29th January 2006
Joni Eareckson Tada is scheduled to appear on BBC TV Songs of Praise on Sunday 29th January. It was recorded during her recent visit to Oxford and her interviews with Sally Magnusson were profoundly moving.
Joni was disabled at the age of 17 in a diving accident, and found the strength and courage to live as a quadriplegic by relying on the unfailing love of Jesus Christ.
During her rehabilitation, she learned to paint using a brush held between her teeth, and is now an internationally known mouth-artist, author, speaker and radio host. She offers hope to hurting people by sharing her own experiences, and is an enthusiastic and highly effective advocate for those with disabilities.
