Rochester's Autumn Discipleship Conference
The Corn Exchange (13th October 2007)

The Guest Speaker at the Rochester Diocesan Association of Readers Autumn Conference will be the Rt Revd Graham Cray Bishop of Maidstone, who will talk on 'Discipleship - the heart of the Mission'.

At the heart of the Church's mission is the call to make disciples. Teaching is one vital element
of this, which means that Readers are the disciples who make disciples.

The Conference will say farewell to the retiring Warden of Readers Mrs Jenny Macpherson.
and thank her for her excellent and much appreciated work and ministry in the diocese.

In the afternoon the Rt Revd Dr Brian Castle, Bishop of Tonbridge, will welcome and commission
the new Warden of Readers, Mrs Karen Senior, during the Rochester Cathedral service
for the admitting and licensing of new Readers.

  • As advertised at the Central Readers Council AGM in April, a new Transforming Ministry website has been developed and will supercede the current Readers' Website shortly.
