Towards a Personal Theology of Education
TOWARDS A PERSONAL THEOLOGY OF EDUCATION
Reflections from a Head Teacher
Huw HumphreysTheory and practice for Christian leaders, in or out of schools, about handing schooling over to the love of God.
This superb booklet, part treatise, part personal reflection, is timely and unusual because it puts Jesus with children at the centre of its vision for a flourishing community. Humphreys has much to offer, both of theory and practice, not just to church primaries but to any Christian leader, in or out of schools, about handing schooling over to the love of God, our creator. Christ is indeed sowing in this ecumenical Milton Keynes school, which applies biblical insights through the gracious and practical inspiration of the Spirit. And prayer is used to help with lessons, children and difficulties. Buy, read, apply and tell. His full book, I hope, will soon happen and include stories.
